Homestay Short Courses FOR SCHOOLS
(from 1st October 2013 to mid-June 2014)
The teachers use a wide variety of methods and approaches depending on the type of course selected. The methods take into account different learning styles and levels within the classroom. The approach is communicative and encourages students to maximise opportunities for practising language in pairs and groups as well as interacting with the local population through surveys and questionnaires.
Our courses combine lessons, activities and excursions with homestay accommodation to provide a full immersion English language experience. Due to the nature of the programme classes are likely to be monolingual.
We are able to offer a wide variety of lessons and activities that can be tailored to your specific needs (some may incur additional fees).
Examples of possible courses
British Culture project
Students work with their teacher to develop a strong understanding of British culture through class work and interaction with the local population and their host families. The students work in groups to present their findings in various ways, e.g. a formal presentation using interactive technology, a blog, a debate or a question and answer session.
We offer tailored examination English, including exam techniques and mock speaking papers for B1, B2, C1 Cambridge Exams.
Flights from your local airport to point of entry into the UK, personal and travel insurance.
N.B. On arrival all students need to purchase a bus pass for local travel to and from school.
Please note the homestay short courses are for group bookings of 15 students or more.
